Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC) ,also named ABC Cable,XLPE Insulated ABC Cable,are composed of one or more concentric-lay-stranded Aluminum 1350 phase conductors insulated with an extruded layer of cross-linked polyethylene compound and assembled with one neutral conductor of All Aluminum Conductors (AAC); Aluminum-Alloy Conductors 6201-T81 (AAAC); Aluminum Conductors, Steel-Reinforced (ACSR); or Aluminum Conductors, Aluminum-Clad Steel Reinforced (ACSR/AW). 
ABC overhead insulated wire has good corrosion resistance. Because of the insulating layer on the outer layer, the overhead insulated wire is less oxidized and corroded than the bare wire, and the corrosion resistance is stronger, which can prolong the service life of the line.
The so-called overhead line is relative to the cable said, is set up by the tower wire at a certain height of the transmission of electric power line.  For the overhead lines of high voltage transmission and distribution networks, the ground insulation is generally air dependent. The distribution lines (except 380V below 10kV) used bare wires in the past. However, due to the complex distribution environment in urban areas, short-circuit grounding and lightning strikes often occur, resulting in reduced reliability of power supply.  Therefore, generally, overhead lines below 10kV are insulated wires (that is, wires are wrapped with insulating layers), which is called insulated overhead wires.
